Meme Generator
Drop in a picture, type the top line and the bottom line, and watch the meme appear as you type. The letter size is worked out for you, so the text fits the frame whether it is two words or twenty.

One picture — JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC from a phone, up to 50 MB
The size of the letters is chosen for you: it grows on a short line and shrinks on a long one, so the text always fits the frame. The white letters with a black outline are the classic look — the outline is what keeps them readable over a bright sky or a white wall. The picture is drawn on your own device and nothing is uploaded, which matters when the joke is about people who did not agree to be on the internet.

Good to know
Why you cannot set the letter size
Because a fixed number is wrong twice over. The size that suits «monday» will run off the edge on a full sentence, and the size that fits a long sentence looks lost on a wide photo. So the size is worked out from the frame and from the length of what you typed: short lines get big letters, long ones get smaller ones and wrap across lines. What you never get is text hanging off the side of the picture — which is the one thing a fixed size guarantees eventually.
The font, and why it may not be the one you expect
The classic meme font is Impact, and on Windows it is there. On a phone it usually is not — fonts are not downloaded here, and asking for one that is missing means the browser picks a substitute at random. So the page asks for Impact first, then for the densest sans-serif faces that phones do have, and only then for any bold sans-serif. The look holds up; the exact letterforms depend on the device, and that is honest rather than hidden.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a watermark?
No. Nothing is added to the picture except the text you typed. There is nothing to remove, and no version to pay for.
Where are the templates — the usual meme pictures?
There are none here, and that is deliberate. Those images belong to photographers, studios and the people in them, and handing out a library of them would be handing out other people's work. Bring your own picture and it stays yours.
The capitals button does nothing on my text. Why?
Because your script has no capitals. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Devanagari simply do not have upper and lower case, so there is nothing for the switch to change. On Latin and Cyrillic it works as expected.
Is my picture uploaded anywhere?
No. The meme is drawn on a canvas inside your browser. That matters when the joke involves people who never agreed to be on the internet.
