Drop your PNG files in and get JPG files back. Everything happens on your device — the images are never sent to a server.

or drop them here

    How to use

    1. Choose PNG files or drag them into the box. Up to 30 files at a time.
    2. Set the JPG quality — 90% keeps the picture sharp and still saves most of the size.
    3. Pick a background colour: JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with this colour.
    4. Download the converted files one by one or all at once.

    Good to know

When to convert PNG to JPG

PNG stores every pixel exactly, which is ideal for screenshots, logos and line art, but photos saved as PNG can be five to ten times larger than they need to be. JPG uses lossy compression tuned for photographs, so converting a photo from PNG to JPG usually cuts the file size dramatically with no visible difference.

    What happens to transparency

JPG cannot store an alpha channel. Any transparent area has to become a solid colour, and white is the usual choice. If your image will sit on a coloured background, set the same colour here — otherwise you will see a white halo around the edges.

    Which quality to choose

At 90% most images are indistinguishable from the original at normal viewing size. At 70–80% the file gets noticeably smaller and artefacts appear only on sharp edges and flat gradients. Below 60% text and thin lines start to smear, so keep those images as PNG.

    Frequently asked questions

Is this PNG to JPG converter free?

Yes, completely free with no limit on how many files you convert and no watermark on the result.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser using the Canvas API, so the files never leave your device. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

    Will the quality drop?

JPG is a lossy format, so some data is discarded. At 90% quality the loss is invisible for photographs; for screenshots with text a lower setting is noticeable, so keep those as PNG.

Can I convert several PNG files at once?

Yes. Select or drop up to 30 files and each one is converted separately, then you can download them all with one button.

Why did my transparent background turn white?

JPG has no transparency. The tool fills transparent pixels with the background colour you choose — white by default. Pick a different colour if you need one.

    Does the file get smaller?

Almost always. Each result shows the original size, the new size and how much was saved. For photographs the saving is usually 60–90%.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The tool works in mobile Safari and Chrome; converted files land in your usual downloads folder.
